50 CENT "begged" R+B beauty KELLY ROWLAND to star in his new music video after a chance meeting in California.The hip-hop star was getting ready to film the promo for his upcoming single Baby By Me when he ran into Rowland in Los Angeles. The encounter made 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - determined to hire the singer as his onscreen love interest, and he refused to let her leave town until she agreed. He says, "I actually ran into her, I said, 'Wow! It'll be great if I could get her to come tomorrow (and film the video).' Kelly was getting ready to fly back to Miami. I was lucky enough to catch her. I kinda (sic) begged my way into her doing it. I didn't want to do the normal video situation, where you have the vixen or somebody no one knows from anywhere. I think it intensifies the whole song."

Rapper 50 CENT auditioned for the upcoming A-TEAM movie remake - because he was determined to land the part made famous by '80s icon MR. T.The hip-hop star is a big fan of the hit TV show and when he heard about plans to revive the classic series on the big screen, he vowed to land the role of Sergeant Bosco 'B.A.' Baracus. But after auditioning in front of movie producers, the 33 year old - real name Curtis Jackson - had to pull out of because the shoot would have clashed with his music schedule. He tells Total Film magazine, "I went for the B.A. Baracus role in The A-Team a few weeks ago but they'd already started shooting, so it would have kinda jammed things up at my end, because I've got my new album coming out." Film bosses have hired mixed martial arts tough guy Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson to take on the iconic role. He will star alongside Bradley Cooper as Faceman Peck and Liam Neeson as A-Team leader Hannibal Smith. The movie is due for release next year (10).

50 CENT performed a concert for his hometown fans on Saturday (26Sep09) after returning to his former New York neighborhood.Thousands packed into a school playground in Jamaica, Queens for a community festival that boasted Fiddy as its headlining act. The festival was canceled back in August (09) because local authorities were concerned about security arrangements. And there was a strong police presence on Saturday, with armed cops lined up on rooftops surrounding the event. 50 Cent invited the officers to join the party, shouting from the stage, "I ain't never seen this before. That's the motherf**king police. You might as well come down and party with us, because we're not going to be doing anything else. I'm just going to enjoy myself. "I'm back in my neighborhood, it feels good. I'm full of positive energy. "I want to make sure everyone has a good time and gets home safe."

50 CENT has dropped a further $3.6 million off the price of his Connecticut mansion after the property failed to sell.The In Da Club hitmaker - real name Curtis Jackson - bought the sprawling 19 bedroom, 37 bathroom house in Farmington in 2003 from retired boxing champ Mike Tyson. He paid $5 million for the estate, but spent millions on improvements. 50 Cent then put the property up for sale in 2007, and lowered the asking price from $18.5 million to $14.5 million at the end of last year (08). But the mansion failed to attract any interest and it was pulled it from the market in May (09). However, 50 Cent is having another go at off-loading the expensive property and has shaved a further few millions off the price tag in a bid to lure potential buyers. The home has been at the center of a lengthy legal battle between the rapper and bosses at an engineering company, who he claimed mislead him over the purchase of the house and the repairs it needed. Rapper-turned-actor 50 CENT has had several tattoos on his arm removed to aid his Hollywood career.The In Da Club star has carved out a career for himself in Hollywood with roles in films like 2008's Righteous Kill, in which he starred alongside legends Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, and he's scored a part in the forthcoming Sharon Stone movie, Streets of Blood. But 50 Cent admits directors often ask him to hide his distinctive inking - so he's decided to take a number of them off altogether. He tells AllHipHop.com, "I took some of the tattoos off because on the movie set, if we got a six o'clock call time, I have to be there (at) two o'clock the night before. "I gotta go through four hours of make-up before we go ahead and play the role. So I just took it off my arm. My right arm."

Rapper 50 CENT is due to go head-to-head with JAY-Z - he's reportedly releasing his new album on the same day as the star.50 Cent has been locked in the studio putting the finishing touches to his fourth studio release, Before I Self Destruct, with his mentors Eminem and Dr. Dre. But he's setting his sights on a challenge with the Jay-Z and according to reports, plans to drop his album on 11 September (09) - the day Jay-Z's long awaited Blueprint 3 is due in stores. Ironically, 50 released his third album Curtis on the same day in 2007 when he went up against Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella signee Kanye West - and lost. Kanye West's Graduation outsold Curtis by an estimated 266,000 copies in the U.S. to snag the number one spot, while the Stronger star also came out on top in the U.K.
