The JONAS BROTHERS stunned pupils at a U.K. school on Wednesday (18Nov09) when they turned up unannounced for an impromptu performance.The sibling trio visited Ryton Comprehensive School in Gateshead, England as part of the British government's Tune In - Year of Music campaign, which aims to inspire young musicians. The brothers performed an acoustic set of their biggest hits, before answering questions from the starstruck crowd. And the band was delighted to be able to share their wisdom with their young fans. Kevin Jonas says, "We hope to inspire kids to pick up an instrument if they have never done so before or to practice more if they already know how to play." Brother Joe adds, "We're just here pretty much to tell the kids how important it is to live out your dream and if your dream is music then we have some advice to give them."

THE JONAS BROTHERS were forced to scrap a gig in Zurich, Switzerland on Saturday night (07Nov09) after youngest sibling NICK was struck down with a respiratory infection.The pop trio had made their way to the Swiss city after a fulfilling presenter duties at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin, Germany on Thursday (05Nov09). But the band had to let fans down after Nick caught a nasty illness - the first time they have ever canceled a show due to being unwell. A statement from the group says, "Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is ill with an upper respiratory infection of the nose and throat and the doctor has advised that he not speak or sing. This is the first time that the Jonas Brothers have ever cancelled a show for sickness and deeply regret that they will not be able to perform." The pop sensations promised their fans a full refund.

THE JONAS BROTHERS have slammed rumours they are to split following news of NICK JONAS' solo plans and insist they are "not breaking up".The Jonas Brothers' mother Denise Jones revealed that her youngest superstar son had been working on a side-project away from the group, entitled Nick Jonas and The Administration. Hundreds of fans stormed THE JONAS BROTHERS' hotel in the Dominican Republic on Sunday (25Oct09) - more than 300 people followed the band after their gig in the hope of meeting their idols.The Jonas Brothers took to the stage at the Sanchez Olympic Stadium as part of their world tour. Their performance was so impressive, fans couldn't tear themselves away and followed the group back to its hotel. But things got out of control as hundreds of devotees rushed the Hilton Santo Domingo's entrance, and tried to make their way to the boys' suite before they were escorted out by security, according to RadarOnline.com. A source tells the website, "The girls were freaking out! Some of the girls were trying to sneak in. I saw several of them get kicked out by security."

Kevin Jonas explains, "We've had a couple of instances where there's been weddings going on during the time we're at the hotel... You get brides like, 'You've ruined my wedding.'" Brother Nick adds, "A hundred to 12 hundred fans will show up outside the hotel... and the bride... her wedding's ruined, because there's just screaming fans the whole time and it just turns into a big mess. "We've actually sent apology gifts to the bride and groom."

The JONAS BROTHERS will revive their roles in CAMP ROCK in a sequel to the hit movie.The teenage sensations appeared in the Disney musical last year (08) and now film bosses are scheduling Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam to be released in 2010. Actress Demi Lovato will reappear alongside the Jonas Brothers in the new installment, which sees them arrive at the camp only to find some of their students and instructors have set up in rival complex, Camp Star. Chloe Bridges, a classical pianist, will debut in the movie, and hip-hop artist Matthew 'Mdot' Finley will also cameo in the film.

The JONAS BROTHERS were forced to delay the start of their concert in Vancouver, Canada on Monday (29Jun09), after their stage set got held up by immigration problems.The teen pop stars were stalled for two hours after trucks carrying their stage equipment were stopped at the US-Canadian border. A spokesperson for the GM Place venue reveals, "They played in Tacoma (Washington State) last night (28Jun09) and it took them longer than what they expected to get up here, so the trucks didn't arrive until later this morning. Some of them got here three hours late. So we got a late start in the setup." The brothers finally made it onstage at 9pm, and woke up their sleepy fans with a loud and energetic performance.
