PETE WENTZ and wife ASHLEE SIMPSON-WENTZ are eyeing a dream move to France to escape the paparazzi. The Fall Out Boy bassist married the pop star in May 2008 and they welcomed their first child, son Bronx Mowgli, six months later. Wentz has previously told of his desire to leave Los Angeles after tiring of the attention from photographers - and the couple now has France in its sights. He tells Britain's Kerrang! magazine, "When I leave my house there are 10 cars waiting outside to take pictures. We have to go from secure location to secure location, places where my wife and kid won't get photographed too much. My wife works in L.A., so it's really hard. I'd love to live in another country for a year while our son is still young enough. Somewhere cool, like France. Maybe we wouldn't get bugged as much."

FALL OUT BOY have decided to retire their cover version of MICHAEL JACKSON's BEAT IT as a sign of respect for the late King of Pop.The pop-punk band delighted fans when they began performing the hit live in concert, and in 2008, they teamed up with singer John Mayer to record the track, before filming a music video and releasing Beat It as a single. But bassist Pete Wentz insists they have no plans to play the song again, following Jackson's death in June (09). He tells MusicRadar.com, "We never got the chance to (meet) him. I don't even know if he heard it. We kind of recorded it on a whim, like, nine months before he passed away. We've decided not to play it anymore. It's his song, you know? We put it on the record because we did a video for it, but it's definitely his song."

FALL OUT BOY star PETE WENTZ is smarting after losing a bet with COBRA STARSHIP frontman GABE SAPORTA - he now has a large tattoo of the singer's face on his leg.The pals recently made a bet which would allow Saporta to design some new body art for Wentz if Cobra Starship's hit track Good Girls Go Bad sold more than a million copies. The song hit the mark and Wentz lost the bet - and Saporta took his friend to the tattoo parlor to have a large picture of himself etched on his leg. Wentz tells MTV.com, "Well, I promised Gabe if Good Girls Go Bad went platinum, I would let him pick a tattoo to put on me. A man with such humble beginnings, of course, chose a self-portrait. I held through with the bet." Wentz's calf is now emblazoned with an image of Saporta's face and the inscription "Gabey Baby Made Me Go Bad." The pair's pranks have caused trouble in the past - Wentz recently revealed his friend's personal phone number by printing the digits on a t-shirt which he wore during a tel...

PETE WENTZ has joined JESSICA BIEL in her charitable mission to draw attention to the Third World's water crisis. The stars showed up to speak at the Live Earth press conference in New York on Tuesday (13Oct09), where they both addressed the need for clean drinking water in third world countries. The actress, who is preparing to scale Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the cause, admitted she hadn't realised that millions of people around the globe have no access to drinkable water. She told reporters, "For most of my life, water has been an ordinary part of an ordinary day. Turn on the faucet, get in the shower, wash your clothes. It is always there; it is always accessible. I've never been forced to think about where it comes from. "I won't stand up and tell you that learning more has made me the brilliant creator of solutions; I am not. But I am listening. And I am changing the way that I live. This isn't a problem for them or for those - this is a problem for us and for we." T...

But it disappeared in seconds after Wentz invited the Blink-182 bassist onstage with a razor, as the star proclaimed, "So you guys know Jay-Z's Death of Auto-Tune? And the bassist has taken the opportunity to tease his pal on Twitter.com; in a post on Wednesday (26Aug09), Wentz jokes, "Dude, when I said u (sic) gotta be the bad dude in fob (Fall Out Boy), I didn't mean 2 (sic) get arrested. How many peeps did u (sic) shank (stab) in jail?"
