NICK JONAS will debut his new band THE ADMINISTRATION at the Grammy Nominations Concert Live next month (02Dec09).The teenager confirmed reports he'd formed an offshoot band last month (Oct09) and he's already all set to present the act to fans. But he won't be leaving his brothers and bandmates out of the big debut - Kevin and Joe Jonas will introduce the act. Nick Jonas + The Administration will perform alongside the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Sugarland at the Grammys show, which will take place at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Jonas reportedly recorded The Administration’s first album in Nashville, Tennessee in just two weeks. The band features top session musicians, including producer John Fields and Prince's former keyboard player Tommy Barbarella.

NICK JONAS has his sights set on America's top job - he used a recent diabetes awareness press conference to voice his ambition to become President.The 16 year old singer spoke to a sold-out audience at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Monday (24Aug09) to try and raise awareness of the illness - which he has suffered from since 2005. And the star - who has previously met President Barack Obama to voice his opinion on government funding for diabetes research - was inspired by the venue, which is usually reserved for press junkets held by the most powerful people in the world. He told the assembled reporters, "I've always had this dream of becoming president one day. "As much as I joke about it and kind of say it to get a laugh, it is somewhat serious. I don't know if it will happen."

NICK JONAS has sparked speculation he is planning to enrol in an American university after he was spotted touring a student campus.The teen idol, the youngest of the Jonas Brothers band, took time off from his current tour to visit Northwestern University in Illinois with his dad, Paul, on Monday (06Jul09). The 16 year old tried go unnoticed as he walked the grounds without a security guard, but other prospective teens couldn't help but notice the Disney star in their midst. A fellow student described the encounter in an online blog: "Today I was visiting Northwestern University by Chicago, IL and around 2PM after the school tour was over my friend and I spotted Nick Jonas and his dad who were also visiting. "Not many people noticed him because he didn't have big security or his other brothers, but he did take pictures with us. He was really nice, well-mannered, and shy. He thanked us for being fans."

 NICK JONAS paid a special visit to the White House on Tuesday (23Jun09) for a meet and greet with President BARACK OBAMA and young diabetes sufferers.   The Jonas Brothers star is in Washington, D.C. to voice his opinion on government funding for diabetes research at Wednesday's (24Jun09) Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee hearing, where he'll be joined by other celebrity diabetics such as actress Mary Tyler Moore and retired boxer Sugar Ray Leonard.     But, before it was time to get serious, Nick Jonas treated a group of 100 kids visiting President Obama to a surprise appearance, signing autographs and taking photos with the children.     And the star, who met President Obama's daughters Sasha and Malia when he and his brothers played at the Kids' Inaugural Ball in November (08), was overjoyed at being given the opportunity to meet the Commander-in-Chief.     He tells People.com, "It was great. NICK JONAS and MILEY CYRUS have headed to the recording studio to sing about their break-up.Nick Jonas has confirmed the two pop stars, who split last year (08) after a lengthy teen romance, have teamed up to rework a broken heart tune, called Before the Storm. The track was leaked online over the weekend (06-07Jun09), but fans refused to believe the former lovers had recorded a track together. Now, Nick Jonas confirms to teen publication Twist the tune is for real. He says, "There’s two versions of the song basically, one that was written just for our record that we sang originally. And then I played it for Miley and we realised that if we just changed the lyrics a bit, we could make it more of our story, kind of share that side of us, and it could be great. So, we did. "She came in and she and I sat down at the piano and just worked on lyrics a bit, tweaked it up, and it turned out great."
