HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL star ASHLEY TISDALE sent youngsters into a tizzy after performing a surprise concert at a primary school on Friday (22May09). After the final school bell rang for the day, students at Steck Elementary in Aurora, Illinois were thrilled to see a giant white tent and a stage had been erected on the playground for a special afterschool show.   The excited pupils began screaming and jostling for the best views as the Disney sensation took to the stage to sing her hits.   And older kids from nearby high schools were even spotted lining up outside barricades and squealing with excitement as they tried to catch a glimpse of the star.   Envious teen Amanda McDonough said, "Of course we're fans. We've got her music in my iPod. But my brother, he's lucky, he gets to be in there."

ASHLEY TISDALE is laughing off rumours she's got a new man in her life just days after splitting from singer JARED MURILLO, insisting she's still "single". The 20 year old High School Musical star ended her year-long relationship with V Factory's Jared Murillo in early April (09), but sparked rumours she had already moved on after she was snapped stepping out with music video director Scott Speer.   But Ashley Tisdale has dismissed the claims and is adamant there is nothing romantic about her friendship with Scott Speer, who she worked with for her new single It's All right, It's OK.   She tells E! News, "He's a really hot, good friend of mine. I'm not in a relationship. I'm single.   "We have a really good, creative relationship."

Singer JARED MURILLO remains close friends with actress ASHLEY TISDALE following their break-up, according to the boy band star's dad. The High School Musical star reportedly ended her year-long relationship with Murillo earlier this month (Apr09).   Just days later, Tisdale was photographed stepping out with music video director Scott Speer - prompting speculation of an acrimonious split with V Factory star Murillo.   But the 20-year-old is still friendly with Tisdale, insists Murillo's dad Alex.   He tells People.com, "They remain good friends. They are in the same circle, they have the same friends... I think it was just the right time to do what they did."   And the elder Murillo isn't ruling out a reconciliation between his son and Tisdale: "Jared is very, very happy, and is very pleased with what's going on with his work. I think for him it's a good time now to move forward... And you know what? You never know how life turns out. ...

The 23-year-old singer/actress admits she's fallen for actors in the past, before she began dating Jared Murillo, a dancer on the High School Musical tour and member of the boyband V Factory.   But Tisdale insists if the two ever split, she won't be making a move for any of her co-stars - because they're too high maintenance.   She tells America's Cosmopolitan magazine, "Some of them are just so into themselves. You fall in love with their characters... and then you realise they're just not as sensitive."
