Cyrus dropped $70 for herself and sister Brandi at Outback Steakhouse in Burbank last Sunday, but stunned the staff when "she kept all the change" after grabbing the meal and leaving the eatery, according to the New York Post. MISCHA BARTON has abandoned Los Angeles following the cancellation of her TV series THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE, relocating permanently to her native New York.Barton was in the Big Apple filming the show, created by Ashton Kutcher, until CW network bosses pulled the program after only two episodes due to poor ratings. TOM CRUISE and CAMERON DIAZ thrilled special needs students by treating them to a meet-and-greet on the set of their latest movie last month (24Sep09).The actors invited 17 students from Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School in Massachusetts to a local cornfield, where they were preparing to shoot a scene for upcoming action/comedy Wichita. The Vanilla Sky co-stars were introduced to each of their fans, posing for individual photos and showing off film props before treating them to ice cream and cupcakes. Teacher's aide Joanne Silipigno tells the Patriot Ledger, "The students said, 'We feel like movie stars.' They felt famous. And (they) were, for the day."

HANNAH MONTANA star MILEY CYRUS has made a rap video to explain her abrupt decision to quit Twitter.com.Upset fans have been pleading with Cyrus to log onto the social networking site since Wednesday (07Oct09), when the teen singer/actress deleted her account. In her final message, she appeared to reference her rumoured romance with actor Liam Hemsworth, saying, "FYI (for your information) Liam doesn't have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason." And now Cyrus has reached out to puzzled fans in a homemade rap, confessing the prying media convinced her to shut down the page. Incarcerated rapper T.I. was the toast of the BET Awards on Saturday night (10Oct09) - accepting two honors from his jail cell.The rapper is currently serving a 366-day sentence at an Arkansas penitentiary following his conviction on weapons charges. He recently saw his debut CD, Paper Trail, shoot up the charts and now the record has earned him a BET Award for Album of the Year. The ceremony at the Atlanta Civic Center in Georgia also saw the shamed star honored with the Best Collaboration award for his track Live Your Life, with Rihanna. T.I.'s fiance Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle picked up the prizes on his behalf and read a letter which the star penned from his prison cell. MICHAEL JACKSON's first posthumously released new track THIS IS IT will be available to download at the stroke of midnight on 12 October (09).Sony Music will unleash the previously unheard song, which features backing vocals from Jackson's brothers, online on Monday. The track will then appear on a new two-disc album of the same name, set to go on sale later this month (Oct09) to coincide with the global premiere of Jackson's This Is It documentary, about his ill-fated comeback concerts in London. Album co-producer John McClain has previously said, "This song only defines, once again, what the world already knows - that Michael is one of God's greatest gifts." Jackson died on 25 June (09). His death has since been ruled a homicide.
