Twilight hunk ROBERT PATTINSON could be forced to make way for CHANNING TATUM in the vampire franchise - movie bosses are eyeing the former model for a lead role in the forthcoming Eclipse. Robert Pattinson has become one of Hollywood's hottest young stars since he landed the role of bloodsucker Edward Cullen in Twilight.   But it could be time for the young Brit to stand in the sidelines - screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is desperate to sign Channing Tatum as nasty vampire Riley.   She tells E! Online, "There's a very big battle at the end with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well.   "And there are some complexities to that character. He really is tragic. He's a puppet for Victoria (vampire character). So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realises that she doesn't want him. Channing could do that beautifully."

KRISTEN BELL is desperate for GOSSIP GIRL bosses to give her a role on-screen after serving as its narrator for two seasons. Kristen Bell has been with the hit series since its inception, as the unseen and unidentified Gossip Girl of the show's title.   But the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star insists she is now ready to bring the scandal-spreading narrator onto TV screens with a cameo role.   She tells the New York Daily News, "I've pitched (show creator) Josh Schwartz a couple of times for me to be on camera as a waitress or something but he wasn't buying it. But hopefully he'll change his mind in the future!"

JAMIE LYNN SPEARS' boyfriend CASEY ALDRIDGE was rushed to hospital by medics over the weekend after he was involved in a car smash. The 20-year-old was taken to the emergency room after the incident in the early hours of Sunday (26Apr09) after he crashed his vehicle in Louisiana.   Police have charged him with careless operation of a vehicle, according to People.com.   A family friend tells the website that Aldridge suffered a cracked skull and has been "in and out" of consciousness, but adds: "It's not as serious as we thought at first."   Spears rushed to be by her boyfriend's side at the University of Mississippi Medical Center following news of the crash.   The couple shocked the world in 2007 when it was announced Britney's little sister was pregnant at the age of 16. Last summer (08) she gave birth to a baby daughter, Maddie.

JAMIE LYNN SPEARS' boyfriend CASEY ALDRIDGE had no sign of drug or alcohol intoxication in his body following his car crash this weekend (26Apr09), police have ruled. The Gossip Girl star, 21, has amassed a huge female following through his role in the hit TV drama, but he admits he's desperate to test his action movie credentials alongside one of Bond's sexy femme fatales.   He confides to America's Interview magazine about his ideal role: "Being from England, and being a lad, I have to say James Bond.
