Teen star MILEY CYRUS wants to land some grown-up film roles - but only if they fit her Christian beliefs.
The Hannah Montana star, 16, is eyeing her future and admits she is keen to take on more "edgy" parts.
But the regular churchgoer is adamant she will turn down roles that could possibly compromise her religious upbringing.
She tells MTV News, "I want to play edgy roles, but I think that my faith is obviously very important to me, so there's a way of doing that. Then also being the person that you want to be and not letting your roles take over your life, and I don't want to do anything wrong with my roles, because it's a job."
Cyrus also admits she has a Hollywood role model - Silence of the Lambs star Jodie Foster.
She adds: "She's actually one of the nicest people, so if I was gonna go after anyone, it might be Jodie Foster."

Teen star MILEY CYRUS is desperate to improve her vocabulary - because her nine-year-old sister keeps using words she doesn't understand.
The Hannah Montana star, 16, admits she picks on little Noah with her 22-year-old sister Brandi because the youngster talks as though she's an adult.
But Noah Cyrus is so grown up, Miley admits she's often left without an intelligent comeback.
She says, "We kind of team up on my little sister when me and her (Brandi) are together. My mum gets really mad when we pick on her because my sister is 22 and I'm 16 and she's nine.
"But she's so annoying because she's so smart. The other day she said, 'Are you being facetious (sarcastic)?' And I had to get out my dictionary."

She tells America's Glamour magazine, “At times I feel I’m very mature for my age, but other times I feel very immature. I still like to sleep with my parents sometimes. I’ll go into their bedroom and snuggle with my mum, because I’ve been working all day and haven’t seen her.
“I’m not around other people my age that much, so I don’t know how 16-year-olds are supposed to act! I just do what feels right.”

ZAC EFRON was left stunned after a fan literally sunk her claws into him - and left a fingernail embedded in his skin.
The High School Musical heart-throb is regularly besieged by crowds of screaming girls at red carpet events.
And he'll never forget the day a very enthusiastic female admirer managed to catch hold of him - and refused to let go until she had left a reminder of herself behind.
He tells Britain's Hello magazine, "I was at a premiere when a barrier broke. Fans came rushing over and grabbed me. The security guards stopped the commotion and no one was hurt, but later that night I found a fingernail stuck in my back. You have to have a sense of humour about it."
