JAY-Z has landed the gig of a lifetime - he'll perform New York anthem EMPIRE STATE OF MIND to kick-off baseball's World Series between his beloved Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies.The song has been played at the Yankees Stadium during the team's play-off run and now Jay-Z will perform the track with Alicia Keys there on Wednesday (28Oct09). He says, "Thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee." Jay-Z, who namechecks the team in the song, admits he's thrilled the song has become an unofficial New York anthem. He adds, "It's about inspiration, it's about hope - I think that's what connects with people. The song connects outside of New York. Every night I play it, there's a monster response, no matter if we're in Providence (Rhode Island) or whenever."

JENNIFER ANISTON has ruled out a second Botox jab - because she hated the way her face froze after the procedure.The actress tells HollyScoop.com she tried the cosmetic procedure once but wasn't happy with the results - and she hates the way continued injections make friends and peers look. The Marley & Me star explains, "You see women and you know they're not young but you can't tell how old they are. It makes them look harder. The warmth in their face goes away. It is not a good look." Instead, Jennifer Aniston encourages fellow 40-somethings to get serious about what they eat if they want to look young and fresh. She adds, "If I eat burgers and fries everyday I won't get the parts I'm offered. I'd become a character actress, that might be fine one day but not right now."

But Angleina Jolie, who shares her partner's fondness for tattoos, admits the horizontal lines across the mid-section of his back was just something she did during a boring night in while they were attending the World Economic Forum. She tells Entertainment Weekly, "One night we didn't have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back. "He just liked it! The picture everybody saw was kind of awkward, but it just lines up beautifully on his back, just enhances the part of the body I like. "It's meaningful in that it's us making angles and shapes out of each other's body, that kind of a thing."

Hundreds of fans stormed THE JONAS BROTHERS' hotel in the Dominican Republic on Sunday (25Oct09) - more than 300 people followed the band after their gig in the hope of meeting their idols.The Jonas Brothers took to the stage at the Sanchez Olympic Stadium as part of their world tour. Their performance was so impressive, fans couldn't tear themselves away and followed the group back to its hotel. But things got out of control as hundreds of devotees rushed the Hilton Santo Domingo's entrance, and tried to make their way to the boys' suite before they were escorted out by security, according to RadarOnline.com. A source tells the website, "The girls were freaking out! Some of the girls were trying to sneak in. I saw several of them get kicked out by security."

LADY GAGA is praying for her father's speedy recovery after he underwent open heart surgery.The 23-year-old pop sensation was in the hospital to comfort her dad Joseph - who she has previously credited with saving her from drug addiction - as surgeons prepared to operate on Thursday (22Oct09). The Poker Face star then took to the internet to tell fans the procedure was successful. In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes: "My Daddy had open heart surgery today (Thursday). And after long hours, and lots of tears, they healed his broken heart, and mine. Speechless." She later updated her page to read, "At the hospital. Giving daddy a footrub while he falls asleep. He's my hero."

A Los Angeles judge has granted JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE a restraining order against an unwelcome visitor to his home.The pop star's lawyers claim Karen McNeil has been showing up at Timberlake's door unexpectedly - and refusing to leave. They refer to her as an "obsessed mentally unstable celebrity stalker". TMZ.com reports McNeil was arrested on the Cry Me A River star's property on Thursday (22Oct09). She was reportedly taken to hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, and later released. McNeil has previously been banned from getting close to rocker Axl Rose. She was sentenced to a year in prison after repeatedly disobeying a court order banning her from coming within 300 yards of the Guns N' Roses star's property. She once claimed she was Rose's wife.

Rap superstar LIL WAYNE faces a year behind bars after pleading guilty to a 2007 gun possession charge.The Lollipop hitmaker, real name Dwayne Carter, was charged with a second degree felony of criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon, following his arrest in New York two years ago when cops found a firearm on his tourbus. Wayne entered a not guilty plea earlier this year (09) and was facing up to 15 years in prison for each count if he was convicted of the crimes, but the star changed his plea when he returned to a Manhattan court room on Thursday (22Oct09). Now, it's likely the hip-hop star will be sentenced to serve between eight and 10 months in prison when he returns to court in February (10). Wayne reportedly accepted a plea deal to avoid a lengthy prison sentence. The rapper won't be looking forward to the New Year - he's also due to stand trial in March (10) on drug possession charges following an unrelated arrest in Yuma, Arizona in January 20...

Rapper 50 CENT auditioned for the upcoming A-TEAM movie remake - because he was determined to land the part made famous by '80s icon MR. T.The hip-hop star is a big fan of the hit TV show and when he heard about plans to revive the classic series on the big screen, he vowed to land the role of Sergeant Bosco 'B.A.' Baracus. But after auditioning in front of movie producers, the 33 year old - real name Curtis Jackson - had to pull out of because the shoot would have clashed with his music schedule. He tells Total Film magazine, "I went for the B.A. Baracus role in The A-Team a few weeks ago but they'd already started shooting, so it would have kinda jammed things up at my end, because I've got my new album coming out." Film bosses have hired mixed martial arts tough guy Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson to take on the iconic role. He will star alongside Bradley Cooper as Faceman Peck and Liam Neeson as A-Team leader Hannibal Smith. The movie is due for release next year (10).
