You may know him from his role in Camp Rock, check out this interview Katie and Karleigh of FanGap.com did with Jordan Francis (JMan) and learn a little more about this up and coming actor/singer/dancer.
K&K: Can you please introduce yourself to our readers.
Jman: Wuts up..this Is ..Jordan Jman Francis
K&K: How did you get started in the music industry?
Jman: Music has always been very much a part of my life my mom said instead of talking as a baby I used to sing songs all the time. Then years later when I got the part in” Disney’s the Lion King” playing “young simba” I loved it so much I didn’t want to stop.
K&K: What has influenced you musically?
Jman: Well people like Jamie Fox who act and sing also James Brown, Michael Jackson and others.. my Dad told me to write my own songs and don’t depend on others to write them for me. So I did, I didn’t realize I could really write until Paramount Pictures actually purchased one of my songs..it was so flattering.
K&K: What’s your favorite song to perform?
Jman: Right now it would have to be text me your love because I wrote it and choreographed it
I will be performing it soon ..
K&K: If you could tour with anyone who would that be?
Jman: Hmm… probably Usher
K&K: What does the next year look like for you?
Jman: The next year is going to be a busy one..Im already working really hard..so much I can’t tell you right now but I will keep you guys posted..lots of things such as voice animation projects, writing songs for various television shows, my own songs as well as teaching dance choreography and televisions shows.
K&K: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Jman: Signed to a major record label, writing, producing choreographing , basically what I do now except more of it.
K&K: Favorite experience filming Camp Rock.
Jman: I would have to say the finale all the performances such as We Rock and Hasta La Vista ..i love to dance so it was great!! And being in the studio recording my songs for the movie..
K&K: You just released a new single, how’s it going with that?
Jman: I am going to record a music video for the song “Girlz Trippin” sometime in October so Im really looking forward to that.
K&K: Is there anything you’d like to say to your fans?
Jman: I love you guys especially the ones who are spreading my name, sending out emails to the press and the girls that post those cute comments.
