We've had several requests to start a FanGap site for the up and coming singer, Savannah Outen. She has been gaining a lot popularity on the YouTube with over 65,000 subscribers to her YouTube. She now has a top 10 song on Radio Disney.
K&K: Can you please introduce yourself to our readers.
Savannah: My name is Savannah Outen. I am 15 years old and I live in Oregon. I love hanging out with my friends and making YouTube videos! When I am not singing I am dancing. I have been dancing since I was 2 years old.
K&K: How did you get started in the music industry?
Savannah: Well I have been singing ever since I could talk! It’s always been something I loved so I decided to make a YouTube account to create a fan base. Then I sent a demo to Keith Thomas. Once he got it, he came down to Oregon to meet me. And then I went to Nashville to record Goodbyes! Tommy2.net and Radio Disney have also been very supportive.
K&K: What has influenced you musically?
Savannah: Aly & Aj have influenced me a lot. They have such great style and are great performers. They influenced me to start playing the guitar and now I have been playing for two years.
K&K: What’s your favorite song to perform?
Savannah: My favorite song to perform of my own is “If You Only Knew” and my favorite song to perform of another artist is “Chemical’s React” by Aly & Aj
K&K: If you could tour with anyone who would that be?
Savannah: I would love to tour with the Jonas Brothers because they seem like such fun guys. Plus I have been to their concert and it’s amazing. I would also love to tour with Aly & Aj.
K&K: What does the next year look like for you?
Savannah: I will be working on my album and doing shows. I am so excited about doing more shows because performing is my favorite part! I can’t wait to have meet and greets so I can meet all my supporters!
K&K: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Savannah: I see myself on tour and having another cd out. I would also love to be on talk shows … Just living my dream!
K&K: You’ve gained a lot of popularity via YouTube, how important is the web in helping promote you as an artist?
Savannah: I think it is very important because I don’t have a cd out yet so the only way for my supporters to hear me is on YouTube and also my MySpace. It’s a great way to interact with the fans.
K&K: You just released a new single “Goodbyes”, how’s it going with that?
Savannah: My single “Goodbyes” is available for download at iTunes and many other music sites such as Rhapsody, and Amazon.com. I also have a music video for “Goodbyes” that is available on iTunes. Thanks again for listening!
